Malkovich Withdraws from Israel Performance After False Quote Controversy

John Malkovich has withdrawn from his scheduled performance of "The Music Critic" in Tel Aviv, Israel, following the dissemination of a press release that falsely attributed quotes to the actor. The announcement of his participation in the Tel Aviv engagement was reportedly based on inaccurate information.

Malkovich stated he was made aware of an article, first published in The Jerusalem Post and referencing The Hollywood Reporter, that announced a Tel Aviv date. The actor's decision highlights concerns over the accuracy of promotional materials and the potential impact of misinformation on professional commitments.
