Jennifer Lawrence is set to lead "The Flood," a new sci-fi thriller penned and directed by Zach Cregger, with New Line and Warner Bros. planning a 2028 release. The film, which also involves Amblin Entertainment, Roy Lee, and Miri Yoon of Vertigo Entertainment as producers, marks Cregger's return to New Line after his previous project, "Weapons."
In other directorial news, Morten Tyldum, known for "The Imitation Game," is attached to direct a live-action adaptation of "The Little Prince." The screenplay is being developed by Oscar-winning writer Simon Beaufoy, aiming to draw inspiration from the life of French aviator Antoine de Saint-Exupéry. Additionally, a thriller short titled "Alone," featuring a predominantly deaf cast including Millicent Simmonds, Troy Kotsur, and Nyle DiMarco, has completed filming and filmmakers are considering a feature-length version.
