The Vancouver International Film Festival (VIFF) and the Málaga Film Festival in Spain have established a new exchange program aimed at fostering emerging filmmakers. This initiative will connect the VIFF Institute for the Moving Image's Catalyst program with Málaga's Talent program, providing a platform for international collaboration and exposure.
The partnership's inaugural participant is Diego Minor Martínez, a filmmaker of Mexican origin who was selected from this year's VIFF Catalyst cohort. This exchange is designed to offer emerging talents opportunities to develop their craft and broaden their networks within the global film industry.
