Parrott Sinks Real Madrid, Ending Perfect Start; Mbappé Penalty Saved

Real Madrid suffered their first defeat of the La Liga season on Friday, falling 1-0 to Real Betis. Substitute Troy Parrott scored the decisive goal nine minutes from time, capitalizing on a rebound after Real goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois parried a header. The loss ended Real Madrid's perfect start to the campaign.

The match in Seville began at a high tempo but slowed considerably in the second half due to the heat. Kylian Mbappé had an opportunity to equalize in stoppage time, but his penalty was saved by Real Betis goalkeeper Alvaro Valles, sealing the victory for the home side.
