Sir Paul McCartney has voiced concerns regarding the casting of Paul Mescal as a member of The Beatles in Sam Mendes' upcoming biopic. McCartney reportedly reached out to director Mendes, expressing worry that Mescal appears "markedly shorter" than his co-stars who will portray the other Beatles.
The specific details of Mendes' response or how this casting decision will be addressed in the film remain unclear. The biopic aims to bring the iconic band's story to the screen, and casting choices, particularly regarding physical resemblance and stature, are a point of interest for fans and band members alike.
